Nintendo has finally announced the launch details of the Nintendo DS in Europe at a press conference in Paris – hurrah!

The machine will be selling at £99.00 on these shores and ââ€Â¬149 on the continent, from March 11th onwards. It had been long rumoured that the console would get a March release, but from the point of games fans, an early March release is that little bit better. Although it does remain slightly disappointing that Australian gamers will be getting it two weeks ahead of us.

The machine will also launch with 14 games ranging from £19.99 to £29.99, thankfully cheap compared to online estimates of £39.99.

Games available at launch include, Mario 64 DS, WarioWare Touched! And Pokèmon Dash from Nintendo as well as a number of third party titles including Project Rub and Rayman DS. Not to mention the bundling of Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt, with the system.
