Epic Games has announced its participation in GDC, running March 5-9,. Epic will host press sessions and meet with developers and partners of its Unreal Engine technology, which rather excitedly will include the unveiling of its next-generation game technology, Unreal Engine 4.
In addition, Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski is set to host the Game Developer Choice Awards, and a dozen senior members of Epic’s staff are scheduled to speak at the conference.
Each year, the Choice Awards recognise and celebrate the creativity, artistry and technical genius of the finest developers and games created in the last year.
The Unreal Engine 4 unveiling is likely to provide an insight into what we can expect from the next-generation of games consoles, given that it will almost certainly be at the heart of much of that generation’s games.
