Elden Ring Nightreign has been fantastic since launch, and it has been a huge success for FromSoftware as revealed through the game reaching a major milestone. FromSoftware are continuing to update the game with new content and challenges, and there has been leaks of what’s coming in the future. While FromSoftware hasn’t confirmed what’s next, Elden Ring Nightreign players have already got their hands on a leaked hard mode.

Elden Ring Nightreign fans are already playing leaked Deep of Night hard mode

Earlier this month, we reported on a leaked mode for Elden Ring Nightreign called Deep of the Night. According to game files, the mode is an endless run that continually spawns enemies and increases in difficulty.

The leak included a description saying, “Targets cannot be chosen, and difficulty increases with depth. Victory increases your rating, allowing you to proceed unto ever greater depths. The boundless dark stretches out unto infinity”.

FromSoftware haven’t confirmed this mode’s existence, but people are already playing it through mods as shared by Kotaku. The mod on Nexus allows players to experience Deep of the Night, but it “does unfortunately end after one round”. However, “it’s still different from normal expeditions and is ‘fully functional’ in round one as it seems”.

In addition to the above mod, YouTubers have uploaded Deep of the Night expeditions showing some new exclusive gear. Deep of the Night exclusive gear includes debuffs that add to the difficulty, with Kotaku using Sentry’s Torch as an example, saying it “might improve lightning damage negation and boost damage negation from getting hit, but also dramatically raise the damage you take from being out in the Night’s Tide storm”. Lastly, enemies are described as “way tankier”.

We don’t know when Deep of the Night will be announced and added to Elden Ring Nightreign, but it sounds fantastic from the leaks as well as the mods and shared gameplay. Hopefully it won’t take too long until it is officially added.

In other Nightreign news, a brilliant mod adds 6-player co-op, and leaks claim FromSoftware’s next game is so advanced “we should be able to play it next year”.
