One of the biggest issues that players of Elden Ring have faced, especially now that the one and only expansion is here, is that there’s not a lot of options for players to repeatedly battle felled bosses. There’s now a solution to that, and it comes in the form of the Boss Arena mod from PositronCannon.

According to the poster, “almost every base game boss included. Practice boss fights, try different builds, do boss rushes, challenge runs. Bosses respawn, so killing them doesn’t matter.” The mod had previously existed on NexusMods, though it was abandoned by the developer. It’s most recent re-uploaded has taken it upon themselves to maintain it with patches and updates for new versions of the game.

We’d previously written about how one of the biggest features that fans wanted to see implemented was a Boss Rush mode that allowed players to battle old bosses. While it’s unlikely we will ever get that now, mods are our best bet.

There are 164 total bosses to fight against, though the mod gives you all of the items you’d need to max out gear and such. I was slightly put off by this when I read it. Part of me wants an Elden Ring roguelike mode. You have to fight against each boss one-by-one, and perhaps your Flasks refill slightly after victorious battles.

You will be able to pick up gear and equipment from bosses after you defeat them, and by the end you’re probably going to be one of the most skilled PvE players out there. I can only dream. While this would take away heavily from the exploration and world-building that Elden Ring is so well-known for, it would let players play it in an entirely new dynamic.
