With GTA 4 selling like hot cakes and those without pre-orders unlikely to be able to get hold of a copy until fresh stock hits retail channels, a new way to secure a copy of the game on launch day has materialised.

If you’re really desperate head over to eBay where you’ll find a bunch of sellers flogging reservations codes for the game at Argos. The codes are listed for around £5, but at time of writing only one code – £4.97 – for the Argos Newcastle Under Lyme store has been sold.

Once you get hold of the code you’ll still need to shell out the price of the game – £39.99 according to the Argos online store.

We don’t blame gamers who are paying over the odds for the game though, it being well worth the 10/10 review Tom handed out.
