Electronic Arts has announced that it will broadcast live streaming video of its gamescom 2011 press conference. The event takes place tomorrow in Cologne, Germany, and will begin at 3pm BST.
“The old model of making games every few years to coincide with new hardware launches is gone. We have a very powerful set of games for today’s consoles, and now we offer that IP to players as year-round entertainment across all of their devices and platforms,” said SVP of publishing at EA Europe, Jens Uwe Intat.
The publisher will have a dedicated 64-person multiplayer area for the highly anticipated Battlefield 3, as well as 36 hands-on stations with Origin Worlds and 16 hands-on stations for PvP Star Wars: The Old Republic.
We’ll be covering the EA gamescom 2011 conference live, with the usual array of witty comments, but the live video stream can be found here.
