EA Sports has extended its partnership with Newcastle United until 2014.

The extension on the deal means that Magpies fans can download an exclusive cover for FIFA 13 when the game goes on sale in September.

The EA Sports Dugout will also visit Newcastle’s Sports Direct Arena during key fixtures throughout the 2012/2013 football season, where fans can play and compete against each other in FIFA 13.

A Pro Player Tournament at the club’s training ground will also search for the club’s best FIFA player.

“We’re delighted to be renewing our partnership with Newcastle United,” said Dan Holman, EA Sports’ Head of UK Product Marketing.

“We look forward to building on last year’s success by developing a wide range of initiatives that fully engage and excite the supporters throughout the 2012/13 season.”

Newcastle United’s Head of Partnerships, Dale Aitchison, added: “We are delighted to partner with EA SPORTS for the next two seasons as it is one of the world’s leading entertainment brands especially in football. Partnerships such as this will help ensure the long-term growth and success of our club.”

EA Sports has signed multiple deals with Premiership clubs in recent weeks.

Last week the firm announced that it had signed a three-year partnership with Tottenham Hotspur that will make EA Sports the “Official Video Game Partner of the English Premier League club”.

It also revealed Arsenal and Manchester City’s new kits via FIFA 13 trailers.

FIFA 13 launches on September 28.
