Long-serving Sky Sports pundit and commentator Andy Gray has been fired from Sky Sports for “unacceptable behaviour,” but what does this mean for his role as commentator in EA Sports’ FIFA franchise?

A spokesperson for the publisher told Eurogamer: “EA Sports has not made any announcements about our in-game commentators for FIFA for 2011. Those announcements will be made later this year.”

EA Sports stuck by troubled former world No.1 golfer Tiger Woods, but EA had formed a franchise around the athlete. Andy Gray has become one of the most recognised faces in football punditry, but his role in FIFA is far from irreplaceable.
