EA has outlined its release schedule for the 2010 holiday season, with big hitters from several major franchises on the way.
Even before the October-December quarter, EA fans have Q2 releases (July-September) including FIFA 11, FIFA Online, NHL 11, NFL 11 and Medal of Honor to look forward to. Speaking of the latter during its Q3 earnings call over night, EA Chief Operating Officer John Schappert said he saw a “demo last week” and the game is “shaping up to be terrific”.
Moving on to EA’s Q3, its holiday quarter, we can expect a string of high profile titles hitting stores. EA Sports Active, one of EA most successful new franchises in 2009, is returning across multiple platforms. Also from EA Sports in Q3 is NBA Live 11, NBA Jam and EA Sports MMA.
Moving away from sports, Q3 will also see the release of Sims 3 for consoles, a new Harry Potter title, a new action-based Need for Speed from Criterion, several titles in partnership with Harsbro and the highly anticipated Crysis 2 from Crytek.
