FIFA 18 will officially be released on September 29, but if you’ve got EA Access on Xbox One or PC, you’ll be able to play it right now. Subscribers to the EA Access service can try out the game for up to 10 hours through the Play First Trial, a whole week before the game comes out. All of the game’s modes will be available for selection, so you can dive straight into season 2 of The Journey: Hunter Returns, have a friendly kick about in the Kick Off mode, and even indulge your fantasy lineup with the FIFA Ultimate Team mode.

Just be prepared for a bit of a wait though, the full game download weighs in at a hefty 43.56GB, so maybe read a book or play something else in the meantime. Everyone who gives the trial a go will be entered into a competition to win a trip for two to Real Madrid’s Bernabeu Stadium for a football match. There’s also an opportunity to win an Xbox One X with a copy of FIFA 18, which could be a rather lovely prize.

To get access to FIFA 18, you’ll need to either already be a member, or sign up to EA Access or Origin Access (the PC version). Being a member will grants early access to all other Play First Trials, a 10% discount on digital EA purchases, as well as access to full-game downloads from The Vault. It’s £3.99 a month, or £19.99 for the year.

FIFA 18 is out on September 29 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
