The Electronic Entertainment Expo will continue to be hosted in Los Angeles until at least 2015, the Entertainment Software Association has announced.

Speaking to Polygon, Michael Gallagher, president and CEO of the Entertainment Software Association said, “we have our clear path forward for the next three years in Los Angeles,” adding that talks to move E3 away from Los Angeles were “very serious”.

“The quality of the experience for E3 has to be very high,” Gallagher continued, “our industry has very high standards. We can’t just meet those standards, we need to exceed them.”

Furthermore, the ESA confirmed that next year’s E3 will take place between June 11-13, 2013, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, L.A. LIVE and a plethora of venues throughout downtown LA and the City.

It had been rumoured that the expo would be moving away from Los Angeles from 2013. Some suggested that the show could shift to New York.

The expo briefly moved away from LA in the mid-2000s, before returning to the LA Convention Centre in 2008.
