ReedPop, the organiser behind PAX, New York Comic Con, and Star Wars Celebration will hold an in-person event for E3 2023.

The show will be back in the Los Angeles Convention Center. And it will once again be open to developers publishers, manufacturers, journalists, and the public. ReedPop has said that it is “reshaping” E3.

Reed Pop President Lance Fensterman said, in a statement:

“With the support and endorsement of the ESA, we’re going to build a world class event to serve the global gaming industry in new and broader ways than we already do at ReedPop through our portfolio of world leading events and websites.

Global Gaming VP Kyle Marsden-Kish added:

“For years, we’ve listened, heard, and studied the global gaming community’s feedback. E3 2023 will be recognisably epic—a return to form that honours what’s always worked—while reshaping what didn’t and setting a new benchmark for video game expos in 2023 and beyond.”

ReedPop has said that E3 2023 will have a “streamlined and secure” media registration process for late 2022. This was doubtless driven home because of the Electronic Software Association’s enormous screw up of 2019. There was a data breach, which leaked thousands of journalists’ private data from 2004, 2006, and 2019.

Anyway, if you miss the days when E3 was an in-person event, then look ahead to 2023 with excitement. Check out the official E3 website here.
