Techland has revealed the line-up of content included in Dying Light’s upcoming #DrinkForDLC pack.

Due for release on February 9, 2016 – the same day as the game’s major new expansion ‘The Following’ – the #DrinkForDLC pack introduces a brand new quest, two parkour challenges and a new weapon blueprint, each of which are (as you’d expect) themed around water.

You can check out the details of each below:

  • The Fountain of Youth – all-new exploration-based quest available in the Old Town area.
  • Water 2.0 – blueprint for a new throwable weapon that intensifies the electrocution effect of all other weapons.
  • Water Challenges – two brand-new parkour challenges designed around the theme of water.

The content will be available to all players free of charge and downloaded automatically in the game’s February 9 title update.

Techland launched its #DrinkForDLC campaign earlier this year, which it claims was a “health-oriented campaign” that encouraged people to “drink water and stay hydrated”. In reality, it started off as a joke mocking Destiny’s Red Bull DLC promotion.

Nevertheless, the developer says that the hashtag reached more than 15 million people and attracted over 15,000 photos and videos of fans drinking water, prompting its decision to release free DLC.

Dying Light: Enhanced Edition, a physical version of the game featuring an array of improvements and the game’s complete line-up of DLC, is also due to launch on February 9.
