First access demo for Duke Nukem Forever could arrive as early as next week.

In an email sent to fans of the game, Gearbox has hinted at the release of the demo of the long-awaited game after asking users to confirm information for their First Access Profile by May 15.

“Help us obtain the most accurate up to date information for your First Access profile,” write Gearbox. “Please follow the link below and re-confirm your preferred platform of choice for the Duke Nukem Forever demo. You will need to confirm your information by Sunday May 15, 2011. Users that currently live in a territory where the demo may not be supported on console will automatically be defaulted to the PC Steam option.”

Duke Nukem’s First Access Club is available to gamers who pre-ordered the title or bought Borderlands’ Game of the Year Edition.

The game’s set for release on June 10.

Finally. It only took over a decade but it looks like you’ll be able to get your hands on the game before the cataracts set in.
