Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time is to be released on March 27 across Europe and PAL territories for Nintendo DS and Wii.

The game is billed as the world’s first cross-platform multiplayer adventure in which players on both Wii and Nintendo DS come together in a unique and innovative experience. Up to four players can tackle the latest Crystal Chronicles adventure together from anywhere in the world thanks to online multiplayer through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. commented: “The release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time shows Square Enix’s continuous commitment to bringing innovative gaming experiences to European players. The colourful world of Crystal Chronicles provides the ideal opportunity for all Wii and Nintendo DS owners to come together and enjoy this magical adventure with their friends.”

The European version of the game will support English, French, German and Spanish languages and, thanks to fixed communication phrases, promises seamless multiplayer even when players in your party are speaking a different language.
