Surprises are nearly always nice, aren’t they? And Ubisoft has surprised us by releasing an entirely new game out of the blue from their Reflections studio.

Entitled Ode, the game is described as ‘an enchanted musical journey through beautiful landscapes’ and sees you controlling Joy, a delightfully charming blob-thing who must navigate colourful gardens that are filled with musical plants that emit notes, which in turn unlock layers to help players build a melodic soundscape.

Here’s the trailer and a gallery of gorgeous screenshots:

Even better is that there’s not long to wait if you want to try out the game, as long as you’re on PC, as it’s available right now from Ubisoft’s own Uplay PC store. More information can be found on the game’s website.
