Driveclub will come with a single driving assist when the game launches this October, and that assist will only be for those with racing wheels, game director Paul Rustchynsky has confirmed.

@NeuromancerGAF There is only one optional ‘assist’ in DRIVECLUB & thats a steering wheel assist to help out those new to racing wheels.
