The Kendrick and Drake beef has to be one of the funniest cultural movements in recent times. Just last week, fans of K.Dot turned ‘Not Like Us’ into a pixel art web game. It only took a few days for Drake’s backers to hit back with a ‘Diss Game’ of their own, and it comes in the form of ‘Family Matters: The Game.’

“Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go feed him a Grammy right now. Tap the Grammy to feed Kenny. Don’t miss or he’ll be sad,” the premise states.

The game spins on one of Drake’s lines in Family Matters, and you will enact this through the gameplay which asks you to throw Grammy’s into the mouth of Drizzy’s biggest opponent. As your score increases, so does difficulty. It’s actually quite difficult, and Kendrick gets further away from the Grammy-shooter as the gameplay progresses. If you miss, K.Dot does in fact start crying, and the character art is fantastic.

The credits read: “Made by some real ones to prove a point. That Not Like Us game was trash. Kbots backdooring the plays like Kendrick’s Spotify, haha – 13Deux.” The venom is unavoidable, especially considering the fact that Kendrick surpassed Drake in Spotify listeners just last week, which prompted accusations that K.Dot is using bots to pump numbers into the algorithm.

There’s no shortage of Kendrick fans already taking aim at the game. “if Drake’s Family Matters was the kill shot, why is it off the music charts but Not Like Us is #1?” They continue, “I like Drake’s music but I’ve never heard anyone playing FM in the clubs or anywhere else and I’m from Toronto!”

I’m quite enjoying this new genre of game – the Diss Game. I’d enjoy it if instead of Jake Paul and all of his internet enemies punching it out violently in a boxing ring, his fans settle it with more great web games like these.
