Update 1.35 pm: Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen is now confirmed as releasing on Xbox One and PS4 in Western territories. It’s been confirmed by Capcom via Twitter. The Western release will arrive at the same time as it does in Japan, which is an as yet unspecified date in Autumn.

Original story: Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, an action RPG with a bunch of cool and complex systems, is getting a release for current gen consoles in Japan. Dark Arisen, itself an expanded version of the original release of Dragon’s Dogma, will be released for Xbox One and PS4 in ‘fall of 2017’, according to Famitsu.

This release is to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the original release of vanilla Dragon’s Dogma in 2012.

Dark Arisen came to PC early last year. Although this release on current console isn’t confirmed for western territories yet, Dragon’s Dogma performed and reviewed well in Europe and North America, so we may yet hold out hope.
