Following a delayed release, the Dragon Age: Origins Return to Ostagar DLC finally made its way onto Xbox LIVE Marketplace last night. However, the joyous cheers from fans quickly turned to jeers when the DLC was pulled.

“This morning a title update on the Xbox 360 for Dragon Age: Origins was made available in preparation for the release of Return to Ostagar. This title update introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialisation classes to not work correctly in Dragon Age: Origins,” explained BioWare’s Chris Priestly on the game’s official forums. “We are removing Return to Ostagar from Xbox LIVE until the issue is resolved and are recommending that you do not download the title update.”

He added: “If you have already performed the update, we apologise for this and are working hard to ensure a fix is available as soon as possible.

“We will provide more information to you when it is available.”

There’s no word on what this means for the PC and PS3 versions of the DLC.

Return to Ostagar sees players embark on a quest for the mighty arms and armour of the once great King Cailan when they revisit Ostagar and learn the secrets of Ferelden’s fallen king.
