Dragon Age: Inquisition has been delayed to November 21, EA has announced. The game had previously been due to release on October 10.
Explaining the delay on the game’s official site, executive producer Mark Darrah said that “while this extra few weeks may not seem like a lot, I know the game you’ll play will be all the better for it.”
“This last bit of time is about polishing the experience we want you to see,” he added. “Ensuring that our open spaces are as engaging as possible. Strengthening the emotional impact of the Hero’s choices. And ensuring the experience you get is the best it can be in the platform you choose to play on.”
The delay means that Dragon Age: Inquisition will now move out of the busy early October window, which had seen DriveClub, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation and Dragon Age all due to launch within the same week of each other
It isn’t out of the way of competition altogether, though. Dragon Age: Inquisition now goes head-to-head with Far Cry 4, due out the same week.
Earlier this evening, EA also announced that Battlefield Hardline had been delayed to early 2015.
