According to a FAQ on the Dragon Age: Origins website, PS3 gamers in Europe wishing to extend their Dragon Age experience with the upcoming Awakening expansion, won’t be able to pick up a boxed version.
“Awakening will be available on Steam and via other digital download services. It is also available for download for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In Europe and other PAL video/game region countries, the PS3 version is only available as a download,” explains the FAQ.
Designed and written by the Dragon Age: Origins team, the Awakening expansion pack promises a brand new area of the world to explore known as Amaranthine, featuring a story that will allow players to unravel the secrets of the darkspawn.
Dragon Age: Awakening is scheduled for release on March 16.
