Splinter Cell: Double Agent was has suffered its fair share of delays – being shunted to September, and then to the back end of October, but it now seems Ubisoft is confident enough on the game’s progress to reveal a firm release date of October 19. The information was posted on the game’s official forums by Frag Doll and Splinter Cell community manager Rhoulette, who also shed some light on Double Agent demos.

According to Rhoulette, both Xbox 360 and PC demos are coming – multiplayer for Xbox 360, single and multiplayer for PC. Don’t go checking Marketplace just yet though, as Rhoulette says they won’t be arriving sooner than one month before the game hits stores.

With the North American release set for October 19, a European release of October 20 (a Friday) looks likely.
