DOOM Eternal announced, but you won’t see it again until QuakeCon

Bethesda has announced DOOM Eternal, the follow-up to its critically acclaimed gore-'em-up from 2016.

Sadly all we got was a brief teaser trailer, although it certainly set the mood. We saw what was presumably hell on earth, with legions of blood-thirsty demons roaming the land before being confronted with some massive bloke armed with an equally massive gun.

After the trailer wrapped, two members of the development team came out and asked us if we wanted to see stuff like 'more badass demons,' 'more guns,' and 'hell on earth.' That's gotta be a prelude to a gameplay demo, right?

Nope. Apparently, DOOM Eternal won't be shown off again until QuakeCon.
