Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One and Xbox 360 are inspired by the same idea and are based in the same world, but should not be considered the game game, Playground Games creative director Ralph Fulton has told Digital Spy.
“It’s based in the same world, it’s based on the same themes,” said Fulton.
“Rather than thinking of them as the same game on different platforms, they are different games inspired by the same ideas.”
As for headline features such as the dynamic weather system and Drivatars, Fulton says these are for Xbox One only.
“There are things we are doing in Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One that honestly couldn’t be done on any other console,” he said.
Forza Horizon 2 will launch October 3.
