When is the Resident Evil 4 Remake Mercenaries Mode release date?

The Resident Evil 4 Remake Mercenaries Mode will be released as a free DLC on April 7, 2023. It’ll be available on all formats the main game is on: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

And as it’ll be free of charge – you won’t need any extra purchase or to get any of the game’s special editions. We’ll have more info – such as how to download it – closer to release.

What is Resident Evil 4 Remake Mercenaries Mode?

For those unfamiliar, Mercenaries mode, when it was first released in the original entry, was a mini-game that could be unlocked after completing the main story. Those that played it were tasked with earning as many points as possible until an evacuation chopper arrives at the end of the timer.

Points could be gained by getting kills and you’d also be able to earn more by defeating bosses, such as the Chainsaw Sisters. You also got to play as some of the characters involved in the game like Leon, Ada Wong, and Krauser.

Capcom is yet to provide further details regarding this mode offering so it’s currently unclear how it’ll look with RE4 Remake. Based on the popularity of the original Mercenaries mode, however, fans of the horror franchise should still be able to enjoy it, especially with all the modern tweaks that’s been added to it.
