As players continue to blast through the campaign of Modern Warfare 2, a number of players are hitting the credits and patting themselves on a job well done.

However, in the tradition of Marvel movies and other long form entertainment – the end of the story isn’t necessarily the end. So – let’s answer the question.

Don’t worry, we’ll avoid spoiling detail here – but in the interests of preparing you for when that credit screen appears – and how to watch it if you missed it.

Does MW2 have a post credits scene?

Yes. There is a short post-credits scene in Modern Warfare 2. We won’t spoil what it is or what happens in it, but we definitely recommend you watch it if you’re a fan of the Modern Warfare story.

Infinity Ward has previously confirmed that it’ll continue the story of Modern Warfare 2 in the form of the Raids. These are special co-op missions that will be available in Special Ops mode following the launch of Season One reloaded in December.

How can I watch the MW2 post credit scene if I missed it?

If you were a bit of an eager beaver with the skip button on the credits – or you just didn’t have time – then don’t worry.

To watch the final cutscene again (or indeed, any cutscenes that you missed during the campaign) it’s very simple.

Just head back to the mission select menu, then hit the shoulder buttons – or select the Cinematics tab on PC – and there you’ll find all the cinematics; including the final one – there for you to watch and refresh your memory.

After that, it’s just a case of waiting for the continuation of the story of Task Force 141 in the raids – or perhaps a potential Modern Warfare 3 (not the 2011 version)?
