For the first time in the history of Football Manager, players of the Android game, Football Manager Handheld 2012, are being offered two optional challenges as DLC.

Austerity Measures and You Can’t Win Anything With Kids are priced 69p each and can be accessed through the newly added Store on the game’s home screen.

The Challenges will be added to the iOS version soon.

“Since the introduction of the Challenge Mode, we’ve had a lot of positive feedback from players, many of whom asked for more of the same,” said Miles Jacobson, studio director of Sports Interactive. “The introduction of these extra Challenges allows us not only to address this demand but also to gauge our customers’ appetite for extra, optional content of this type.”

To coincide with the launch of the DLC, all versions of Football Manager are currently available at reduced prices. FM 2012 on PC and Mac has had 40 per cent slashed off its price on Steam, whilst both versions of FM Handheld 2012 are under half price at only £2.99. These price reductions will remain in place until July 23.
