Retailers have priced Disney Infinity’s range of Starter Packs and characters, and revealed a June 28, 2013 release date.

According to GAME, the Starter Pack, which includes a copy of the game; three characters – Mr. Incredible, Jack Sparrow and Sulley; three Infinity Play Sets – Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles; and the Infinity Base, will cost £64.99 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, and £54.99 on Wii and 3DS.

The Xbox 360 and 3DS versions are available for slightly cheaper at Amazon, though, costing £60.13 and £47.36 respectively.

The first batch of characters, meanwhile, including The Incredibles’ Helen, Violet, Dash and Syndrome, Pirates of the Caribbean’s Barbossa and Davy Jones, and Monsters Inc.’s Mike, have been priced £12.99 at GAME and £14.99 at Amazon.

A Sidekick Triple Pack including Mrs Incredible, Barbossa and Mike is also available for £29.99.

In comparison to rival Skylanders, Disney’s offering seems slightly more expensive. Skylanders Giants’ Starter Pack typically retails at around £59.99, with standard characters retailing for around £8.99 and Giant characters at £14.99.

Disney Infinity was announced by Toy Story director John Lasseter earlier this week, with 17 characters confirmed for release.

The firm hopes that the game will “bring to life new characters, stories and environments from The Walt Disney Company in a way that will delight fans and gamers alike.”
