Disney Infinity Play Sets will cost between £34.99 to £39.99 each, retailer listings have suggested.

Both GAME and Amazon have priced Disney Infinity's upcoming Cars Play Set, the first standalone Play Set due to go on sale alongside Disney's Skylanders rival this June, which includes access to the Radiator Springs game world, plus two new characters: Lightning McQueen and Holley Shiftwell.

Disney has yet to formally announce an RRP for the Play Sets or individual characters, although the latter appear to be priced at around £12.99 each.

Each Play Set is said to offer between 6-9 hours worth of gameplay, but the price seems fairly high for what is essentially on-disc DLC.

Disney has previously suggested that future movie titles could be released in the form of a Disney Infinity Play Set, rather than receiving its own full game.

Disney Infinity's Starter Pack, which includes access to three Play Sets (Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles), goes on sale on June 28.
