Disney Interactive has announced that Turok, the first next-gen outing for its dinosaur hunting franchise, will be hitting European stores on February 8, 2008.
The game had been lined-up for an autumn release, but those hungry for some dino-fuelled action will now have to wait.
Turok is being created using the Unreal 3 Engine and is set 200 years in the future. Players take on the role of Joseph Turok in a fight to take down Roland Kane, a man once a mentor to Turok. Before Turok gets the chance to stop Kane, he’s shot down and finds himself in the middle of prehistoric world – cue plenty of dinosaur action.
The game’s shaping up very nicely and given the strong competition this winter, we’d rather see Turok given an extra few months than be overwhelmed by the likes of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.
