According to a listing on Yahoo! Japan, Nippon Ichi’s strategy-RPG Disgaea 3 will be heading to the PS Vita as a launch title. The listing has since been removed from the site, however.
Listed as Disgaea 3 Returns, the PS Vita title is likely to be the equivalent of Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. It’s therefore fair to assume it’ll be bundled with additional levels, and much of the DLC that was released for the PlayStation 3 original.
Nippon Ichi has confirmed that it’s working on titles for the PS Vita, but none have been announced just yet. A portable version of Disgaea 3 is due at some point soon, however, so the Yahoo! Japan listing is likely to be the real deal.
In the meantime, fans of the series can look forward to Disgaea 4 for PlayStation 3 in September.
