Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 is the long-awaited conclusion to the acclaimed Digital Devil Saga series. Ghostlight released the game’s predecessor in the summer of 2006 and it exceeded sales expectations in PAL territories – a factor which has no doubt aided the release of the sequel.

following the success of ‘SMT: Digital Devil Saga’ Ghostlight will continue its momentum with the sequel, and we are very excited at the prospect of being able to bring this much anticipated concluding chapter to the PAL territories, allowing fans old and new to experience the last instalment of this coveted series.” said Mr. Khaled Lababedi, vice president, Ghostlight.

Digital Devil Saga 2 picks up where the first game ends and much of the cast remain the same. Players will also get a new playable character in the shape of Roland – leader of The Lokapala, the resistance force against The Karma Society.

A nice feature found in Digital Devil Saga 2 is the ability to import game saves from the first game, unlocking hidden bonus content and stats boosts. Apparently, decisions made in the first game even carry forward into the sequel and affect the path which can be taken.

Digital Devil Saga 2 will be released for PS2 in PAL territories on February 16, 2007.
