Battlefield 4 on Xbox One may allow players to peek and lean via head movements tracked by Kinect, executive producer Patrick Bach has told Xbox Wire.

Asked how the next generation of consoles will impact the future of Battlefield and gaming in general, Bach said: “I think time will tell as we’re just getting our hands and creative thinking around what these new platforms can do.

“In Battlefield 4, we’re pushing in every way that we can. Through SmartGlass, Xbox players will be able to view the overhead map during multiplayer matches and take advantage of the second screen. Also, with Kinect, we’re looking into features that enhance the controls including peeking and leaning and tracking head movement as well as incorporating voice commands.”

Back in July, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson confirmed that Battlefield 4 would support Kinect, but at the time wasn’t willing to reveal any specifics.

Battlefield 4 will be released one day before Xbox One launches on November 22.
