Blizzard’s Diablo 4 is almost two years old with the game’s upcoming anniversary taking place on June 5, 2025. While no official announcement has been made from Blizzard about its contents, the ARPG developer is releasing a new event for the game’s second anniversary.

For the game’s first anniversary, Blizzard released an event that gave players free gifts, including a new mount and armour, weapons and more. Additionally, players were given access to bonus gold, XP and more, coinciding with the March of the Goblins series anniversary event.

Diablo 4 2nd Anniversary event

As it turns out, Blizzard will be celebrating the second anniversary of Diablo 4 in the coming weeks. Speaking to fans on Twitter, director of social and content marketing at Blizzard Adam Fletcher confirmed that there will be a new anniversary event.

While specific details haven’t been confirmed at the time of writing, the event will bring players a brand-new Reliquary Battle Pass for players to work through. While not confirmed, we also expect the event to bring the same gold and XP bonuses as last year.

“There is and a new reliquary (free),” the director of social and content marketing told fans on Twitter. “More details next week.”

Alongside the new event, Blizzard is also working on future content for the rest of 2025. As explained in the game’s annual roadmap release, new Horadic Powers and endgame dungeons are coming in Season 9 with Chaos Powers and a new Infernal Hordes update coming in Season 10.

Furthermore, Blizzard has a ten-year internal roadmap for the long-time future of Diablo 4 with the next expansion for the game planned to release sometime in 2026. While the game will not be sticking to the previously stated annual expansions plan after the release of last year’s Vessel of Hatred, there will be more expansions than any other Diablo title.
