With a brand new expansion on the way offering a brand new endgame, Diablo 4 is about to be injected with a host of new content. Unfortunately, old content is already being abandoned, including Diablo 4 world bosses.
No one plays Diablo 4 world bosses
While the new Vessel of Hatred expansion is bringing a tonne of new content to Blizzard’s ARPG, some players have noticed that some current content is already being ignored.
In a new Reddit thread, one player explained that they can no longer see other players fighting existing world bosses. One player complained that they are constantly fighting Diablo 4 world bosses alone and no one ever helps.
On launch, Diablo 4’s world bosses were deemed way too easy before they were massively buffed. However, now that they are harder to beat, players don’t find the bosses worth fighting at all.
“Yea I was all for making them not die instantly like they used to, but they did nothing with their damage or rewards,” said one player. ”So now we’re just standing there spamming attacks on them for multiple minutes, no chance of dying even if we ignore their attacks and for the same reward as before.”
Other players have complained that lag when fighting World Bosses is worse than ever. With horrendous latency, many are refusing to enter these events.
“The lag I have experienced this season while facing world bosses is almost unbearable,” said one player. “We’re talking 2.5-3s latency. It’s unplayable for me. I can pretty much stand there and that’s it.”
Are these bosses useless?
In their current incarnation, Diablo 4 world bosses are mostly useless. Outside of going into new world tiers, there’s not really any reason to fight the time consuming enemies. Well, outside of fun.
With the new expansion on the way with a new party finder feature, Blizzard could rework World Bosses for better rewards. If this happens, Diablo 4’s in-world events could become popular once again.
