Gamers currently playing through the Diablo 4 PTR have found a method to reach level 60 in just 20 minutes. As the players explore an early version of the Vessel of Hatred DLC, huge exploits have already been discovered.

Exploiting Diablo 4 PTR

As players explore a buggy version of Vessel of Hatred, they’ve managed to find a new way to rapidly level up.

Via YouTuber/Livestreamer Raxxanterax, there’s a way to reach level 60 in just 20 minutes.

To do this, players need to accept invites before being given the role of party leader. After the other players leave, interacting with the Wandering Shrine will boost their level up by four. By repeating the process, you can rapidly reach level 60.

While Blizzard has warned that the current Diablo 4 PTR is very buggy, no one expected it to have an exploit so easy to abuse. Nevertheless, the game’s quick leveling bug will not exist when Vessel of Hatred releases proper.

A patch is on the way

As Raxxanterax explained on Twitter, Blizzard is already aware of the new leveling exploit and will fix it in time for release day.

“Blizzard watched me do this and it will be patched for the expansion launch,” the content creator told his fans.

With the entire purpose of the game’s public test realm being to find bugs and exploits, the PTR has already served its purpose. If left unchecked, the game’s leveling bug could’ve seen players reach endgame immediately after buying the expansion, ruining the game’s intended experience.

Vessel of Hatred’s testing period isn’t over yet, and there are likely still tonnes of bugs to find and squash before release. Nevertheless, it is fun to see just how exploited the game can be in earlier stages of development.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred releases on PC and console on October 8th, 2024.
