Progression in Diablo 4 is about to change forever. Following the reveal of new expansion Vessel of Hatred, Blizzard has revealed huge changes are coming to the game’s levelling system in the near future.

Blizzard to change Diablo 4 levelling

The new Vessel of Hatred content adds a host of new content, including a brand-new endgame for players to explore. Already controversial, Diablo 4’s new endgame focuses on co-operative play as opposed to solo adventures.

Alongside this new content, Blizzard has announced plans to shake up the way progression is handled in the game. While specific changes are still unconfirmed, Vessel of Hatred will come with some surprising tweaks.

“Sanctuary is changing before your very eyes,” reads a new official blog post. “There are murmurs of progression updates looming ahead, permanently changing levelling across Diablo IV.”

On launch, and still to this day, the latest Diablo game has suffered from some unbalanced level scaling. Casual players have also complained about the speed of levelling with the game prioritising live service players who dive in for every season, although most hardcore players don’t have this issue.

Party Finder

Diablo 4’s new endgame content is also coming with a new Party Finder feature to support its new multiplayer content. This means that you’ll be able to quickly find other adventurers to play with so you don’t miss out on the new endgame features.

The addition of this feature has led many fans to reply with surprise.

“As a solo player this is huge. Making it easier to get into boss rotations and activities will be nice,” one player said. “Discord is not difficult but it is a minor annoyance on console.”

“Destiny 2 depended on discord grouping for years without having an in-game group finder so it’s not unrealistic that people were doubtful about it,” said another. “But I’m super glad that Blizzard is fixing this issue sooner rather than later.”

Diablo 4 is now available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
