Daiblo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will run at native 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4, Blizzard has confirmed to GameSpot.
The PS4 version will render at 1080p off the bat, while Xbox One owners will need to download a day one patch or they’ll be stuck with the on-disc 900p version.
“The game will be available [in] 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One,” Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat told GameSpot. “Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there. We’re very happy about that.”
GameSpot adds that both versions will also run at 60fps.
Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition launches August 19, hoping to boost sales for the game way beyond its 20 million units sold thus far.
