Devil May Cry 5 may be the first entry in the venerable hack-'n-slash franchise to feature a multiplayer mode, according to a listing for the game on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
While Capcom hasn't officially announced multiplayer for the demon-slaying sequel, the PlayStation store reveals that the game has online multiplayer for 2-3 people, while the Xbox listing goes one step further with a mention of online co-op.
GameSpot contacted Capcom about the listing, and a representative offered the following statement:
'With Devil May Cry 5, we are focused on delivering a complete single-player action experience,' said the company. 'No multiplayer features have been announced.'
Devil May Cry 5 is slated for a March 8, 2019 release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Capcom released a new trailer yesterday showcasing Dante in action, as well as confirming both Trish and Lady will be returning.
