After fan speculation that the latest batch of Killzone 2 screens had been touched up, with the now popular turn of phrase “bullshot” appearing across gaming forums, QA Manager for Guerrilla Games Seb Downie has confirmed that touching up has taken place.
“They are only the tiniest bit touched up. Short answer is yes. Long answer is that there was a little bit of colour-correction done and some minor polish, but nothing major. Still very close to reality and it looks better in motion in my opinion,” wrote Downie on the official PlayStation forums.
Comparisons of the new screens and a trailer released back at Games Convention 2007 have also appeared, suggesting the latest screens feature more than “minor polish”. Enhanced screens are something we’re used to seeing, but it’s a little more uncommon for the developer to openly admit to doctoring images.
Killzone 2 is currently expected for release only on PlayStation 3 in 2008.
