A live action short for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been released designed to offer an insight as to how things have changed since the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The video outlines the shift from the golden era of augmentation to the Mechanical Apartheid.

In 2027, after Augs suffered psychotic delusions and attacked people, killing millions, society turned against augmentations and enacted harsh laws. The most strict new law was the Human Restoration Act, designed to isolate Augs and keep them away from Naturals.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launches on August 23 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Pre-order the game now.
