David Cage-developed android simulator Detroit: Become Human has received a launch trailer ahead of its PlayStation 4 debut this Friday, and it's about as serious as you'd expect from Quantic Dream.
Detroit pretty much follows the same template as the Paris-based studio's last few games, in that it's a narrative-driven adventure placing huge emphasis on choice.
The game takes place in 2038, where humanity has developed androids to pretty much do all of the donkey work that we're too lazy to bother with. You control three self-aware androids — Connor, Kara, and Markus — and determine their fates throughout the adventure, which may involve seeing one of them ending up brown bread depending on your decisions.
2012's Kara tech demo is pretty much seen as the genesis of Detroit, although back then it was assumed this would be Quantic's next game. This wasn't the case, with Beyond: Two Souls taking that crown a year later.
Detroit: Become Human is due out on May 25.
