Destiny’s planned September game release – believed to be a standalone expansion – will be titled The Taken King, a new Bungie trademark spotted by a NeoGAF member has revealed.

The trademark also includes a logo which I’ve been told by VideoGamer’s resident Destiny players bears a strong resemblance to The Hive. The referenced king is also believed to be Oryx, father of Crota, and not Liam Neeson.

The Taken King is assumed to be the final title for the earlier leaked Comet: Plague of Darkness, which is expected to arrive in stores as a Game of the Year type re-release featuring the new content plus all that has been released so far.

Meanwhile, Destiny House of Wolves will release May 19.
