Bungie has announced that its annual mid-summer event Solstice has arrived once more in shooter Destiny 2.
This year’s iteration sees the Tower transformed for the occasion, with a brand new Bonfire Bash activity to participate in. Guardians can defend against waves of enemies, and earn themselves some nifty upgrades to make their armour glow. Speaking of armour, anyone who jumps in will automatically get a set of redesigned Solstice armour just for taking part. You’ll also have a chance to nab yourself a new Legendary Stasis Hand Cannon named Something New.
Meanwhile, the in-game Eververse shop has a bunch of summer-themed cosmetics for players to nab. There’s also a free Event Card to pick up, giving them the chance to earn even more rewards for free or upgraded to unlock more still. Guardians can also earn a new Seal if they complete Event Challenges. This’ll nab them the title of Flamekeeper, and anyone who does just the introduction quest get to buy the exclusive Solstice 2022 shirt from the Bungie store.
The Solstice event runs in Destiny 2 from now until August 9. You can check out a trailer for this year’s festivities down below. Bungie released Destiny 2‘s latest expansion, The Witch Queen, just this past February.
