Developer Bungie has announced its intention to hold a Destiny 2 Showcase next month on August 24, in which it will reveal more information on the future of the shooter.

While it’s keeping most of its cards close to its chest in the studio’s latest update, it looks likely that the showcase will likely include new details on the game’s next expansion, The Witch Queen. The upcoming update was originally set to launch later this year, but was pushed into early 2022 back in February.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will later be followed up by two more expansions to complete the intergalactic shooter’s current “saga” in the form of Lightfall and a final, yet-to-be named chapter. Those are of course, still a ways out yet but perhaps we’ll get a tease of them in next month’s broadcast too. We’ll find out when the Destiny 2 Showcase takes place on August 24.

In the meantime, Destiny 2 recently launched it’s latest mid-season update event entitled Solstice of Heroes. Coming as part of the Season of the Splicer, Guardians can earn class specific Solstice armour that can be upgraded by defeating bosses and taking on event-specific missions. You can check out a trailer for that below.
