Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 will be going offline today in preparation for Update 1.0.1.3. The maintenance work will begin from 3pm and last until 7pm BST. Just like last week’s maintenance period, players won’t be able to log in when the work starts. Players that are already in game will be given a warning that they’ll be removed by 4pm, or be kicked from the game’s servers within an hour of the maintenance beginning.

Hopefully this update doesn’t overrun by a few hours like last week’s did, but then again Bungie won’t be having to respond to an unintentional race hate iconography issue this time around. We should hope not at least.

Update 1.0.1.3 will definitely remove the remaining elements of the offensive KEK material from the game entirely, and fix some issues players have had with a SHEEP error appearing when joining Fireteams for the game’s Nightfall Strikes.
