Bungie confirmed during a live stream yesterday that Destiny 2: Forsaken will introduce a brand new weapon in the shape of a bow and arrow. Yeah, quite why you'd need one in a ruck with futuristic, vaporizing weapons is anyone's guess, but it's happening.

The bow will be available in three flavours: Short, medium, and long range, although that's about all we know right now.

In addition, and perhaps more importantly, the space shooter will introduce three new content drops from this winter until summer next year.

These come in the shape of Black Armory (winter 2018), Joker's Wild (spring 2019), and Penumbra (summer 2019). The new content can be grabbed by purchasing the Annual Pass, which is a bit like a Season Pass (which Destiny 2 already has) only it's for an expansion — in this case, Forsaken.

The Annual Pass is listed in a bundle deal with Forsaken on the UK PlayStation Store, which will cost £59.99. Forsaken meanwhile is listed at £34.99 by itself.

Destiny 2: Forsaken includes a heap of new content for the alien-blasting sequel, such as an extra raid, fresh exotic weapons and armour, plus the all-new Gambit Mode, which combines PvE and PvP elements into one pulverising package.

Forsaken will ship for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 4.
