Destiny 2 is gearing up for the launch of the final Faction Rally event of Season Two, with Guardians able to pledge their loyalty to Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, or New Monarchy from Tuesday, March 20 when the next reset kicks in.

As always, there’s a bunch of new loot up for grabs for each faction, and if you’re lucky enough to have backed the winner you will be able to claim the new weapon for just 1,000 Glimmer. If your faction didn’t win, you can still bag the item but it’ll set you back a whopping 50,000 Glimmer.

Bungie confirmed that Faction Rallies will be taking a break before returning for Season Three of Destiny 2, with the studio looking to further polish the experience. Here’s some of the goals that the former Halo developer is looking at for the event going forward:

-Pledging to a faction should be a meaningful choice.

-Rewards should not be time-gated.

-Faction Rallies should provide a unique gameplay experience and not simply be a reward layer on top of the existing game.

-The event should grant additional insight into faction lore and goals

-It should build upon player interest in Lost Sectors and armor ornament objectives

Earlier this week it was reported that the second expansion for Destiny 2 will be titled The Fallen Warmind, although we’re still waiting for official confirmation from Bungie on the matter.
