PUBG. Corp has confirmed that it's bringing back Desert Knights, one of the most popular time sinks for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

In case you missed out on it previously, Desert Knights sees 50 players scrapping it out in a team deathmatch-style battle set on Miramar. It sees ten five-player squads dumped into the map, packing level three gear and random create weapon.

Desert Knights differs from a bread-and-butter PUBG match, eschewing common elements such as airdrops, the red zone, and vehicles. Rounds last 15 minutes, and the first team to hit 200 points bags the victory.

In addition, Matchmaking is now mandatory in Desert Knights, and there's no knockdowns either; you'll simply be booted back to the spawn plane if you eat any lethal damage.

PUBG's latest Desert Knights event is now live and kicking, wrapping up on Monday, August 27 at 3.00am BST. It's available to play in first and third-person perspectives in the US, Europe, and Asia.

In the meantime, the Fix PUBG initiative is continuing with another update rolling out soon, adding a Training Mode among other features.

Finally, PUBG version 1.0 will launch for Xbox One on September 4.
